Copy the link number you are responding to into
the "Link Follows" field. If you are writing a hokku (the first link) type "0"
If you are responding to an even numbered link, write two lines. If you are responding to an odd numbered link, write three lines. Use a season word appropriate to the identified season. No season means there should be no seasonal reference. Type one line in each of the consecutive line fields.
When you are satisfied with your link, click on the send button. Clicking the clear button will clear the form.
Be sure your email address is correct. If we cannot contact you, your link will be rejected.
The renku master will notify you that your link has been accepted, rejected, or is being held for a later link. If your link is rejected feel free to resubmit it at a later time. The reason for not accepting a particular link is usually related to how the link relates to the previous link. It must also shift the renku.
Try to avoid repetition of previous words, phrases, and ideas.
Sometimes the link may be close, others may be very distant.
Vary the tone of the link.
Try to have any pair of consecutive links stand as a single poem.
Any two links that have one link between them must not be linked.
